Stocks open higher on bank view, oil

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks opened higher on Wednesday, helped by a reassuring forecast from a major German bank and moderating oil prices.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> rose 12.13 points, or 0.11 percent, to 11,394.39. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 4.35 points, or 0.34 percent, to 1,289.26. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> climbed 7.22 points, or 0.31 percent, to 2,312.19.
